Oversized Glass Replacement

• The client requested our assistance to help replace two shattered glazed units to the front entrance glazing at this prestigious Central London hotel.
• The site was located in a high footfall area with glass that weighed over 400KG each so a bespoke access solution was required

Prior to works commencing, we set up a ground cordon with ground marshal around the defective glazing to ensure the safety of the general public and building occupants during our works.

Given the height of the glazing, our PASMA trained Technicians erected two scaffold towers either side of the defective glazing to allow us access during the removal and installation process.

With replacement glazing units weighing over 400KG we utilised specialist glass suction lifting equipment and a UNIC spider crane to allow for the existing glass to be safely removed for disposal and the careful installation of replacement glazing.

Once the replacement was correctly installed, we cleared away materials and removed our access equipment to hand over a clean works area to the client.
