Sky Access UK specialise in conducting Health and Safety Glazing Inspection and Surveys to high level glazing structures throughout the UK.
Our client had a large atrium structure directly over the reception to this large office block in Surrey. Due to an issue with defective fixings, the client needed a glazing contractor with experience of difficult access to assess the structure for defects.
Given the height of the structure and internal fixture arrangements, traditional mechanical access methods were not viable.
Our Surveyor assessed the site and created a method of access using our IRATA trained Rope Access Technicians. Using the internal structural steelwork and our rope access equipment, our Technicians were able to assess the whole structure internally for defects. Where noted, our Technicians photographed and logged defects conducting and possible repairs whilst on site using stock items.
Upon completion of our works, we provided our client with a full photographic report and detailed map showing our findings. The report detailed a series of recommendations for which our estimating team provided a fully costed quotation.
