Our client had a large commercial office premises which had not had a glazed facade inspection for a number of years. After a recent audit, the need for the an inspection of the glazing had been identified as a requirement to check the integrity.
The site was a large property with 10 floors of glazing and a number of street level obstructions meaning access was limited. Sky Access were instructed to bring our expertise in high level glazing to assist.
Using multiple teams of our IRATA trained Rope Access Technicians, the Sky Access team commenced with the glazed facade inspection. This was to identify any visible defects with the system such as glass breakages, loose external components and the conditions of gaskets.
Our Technicians inspected every pane of glass on the building, photographing defects along the way. On completion of the inspection of the glazing, our Project team produced a photographic report detailing defects alongside maps with locations of key items identified.
