The client required the replacement of the existing glazing to the main facade with a new compliant specification whilst retaining the existing solar performance.
With the race season upcoming, careful planning and scheduling was required to ensure the clients operations were not impacted.
After an initial pre-lim measure, our glass was ordered from our European supply partner to meet the clients specification.
Using a combination of Cranes supplied by Aincough and IRATA trained Rope Access Technicians, our team utilised vacuum suction lifting equipment to remove existing glazing and install the new panels.
As part of our awareness of the environmental impact on such large scale works, we worked with our waste partner to ensure that 14 tonnes of removed glass were recycled at the end of the project.
With the project taking place over three weeks, works were completed on time and on budget allowing the sites busy race season to go ahead as scheduled without interruption.
