The outer pane of this glazing was found to have fractured at this busy commercial office site.
The site was open 24/7 so required a quick and cost effective method that would minimise disruption to building tenants.
To minimise disruption, the replacement operation was planned to take place on an early weekend morning when building occupant levels were at a minimum.
As the client required the use of adjacent car parking available 24/7, we had to utilise an access method that could be removed immediately after our mobilisation.
A cost-effective solution to a crane set up was to utilise a specialist truck mounted platform with integrated glass suction lifting equipment. This enabled us to complete the works and remove all equipment from site handing over the car park area to the client immediately before building occupancy increased.
